Glenwood plans unveiled at Community Discussion Evansville, Indiana (August 15, 2009) – Members of the Glenwood Community Development Initiative Planning Team unveiled plans to stabilize the neighborhood during the third community discussion on August 15. If all plans come to fruition, the Glenwood neighborhood will have a market, an expanded community garden, enhanced educational opportunities and new mixed-income housing near the Glenwood Middle School.
“We’re really looking to identify needs and make things happen,” said Steve Moore, who chairs the Business and Commerce Priority Team. Created in early 2008, the Glenwood Community Development Initiative is a collaboration among several community partners working to stabilize the Glenwood neighborhood, bordered by Riverside Drive, Veterans Memorial Parkway and U.S. 41.
