Core Crew

Description: The Core Crew is a group of individuals that regularly volunteer on the construction site. The Core Crew prepares the site for build days and leads community volunteers. Most Core Crew volunteers are not builders by trade, but have learned construction skills from other Core Crew volunteers and are capable of building a house from start to finish. Join the Core Crew for camaraderie.

Requirements: Core Crew volunteers make a commitment to come to the job site as often as possible on build days (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays). To be an active Core Crew member, you must come to the site at least twice per month for two consecutive months.

Youth: No one under the age of 16 is allowed on the construction site. Youth aged 16 and 17 may volunteer but must have a Liability Waiver signed and notarized by their parent/guardian before volunteering.

Online Safety Training: All volunteers must complete an online safety training course before volunteering. Safety training link: http://www.hfhvolunteerinsurance.com/ and use code W8NAEBTG, then select the “Volunteering on a Habitat site” training option.
