Habitat’s response to COVID-19

Your health is a top priority, and Habitat is taking measures to protect  our staff, volunteers and the people we serve during the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic. At the present time, we have closed the ReStore to the public, and we have suspended our builds, meetings and events through April 6, 2020.  We will reassess the situation as April 6th nears and make further decisions at that time.  Please know that we are constantly monitoring the situation and will update our plans as new details emerge. Thank you for your continued support as we navigate this public health crisis together.

Home Dedications

Habitat home dedications are an extremely exciting and magical time. When a Habitat home is completed, community members, friends, and family gather around the Future Homeowner and bless the home. This is when a Future Homeowner becomes a Homeowner. The ceremony is completed with a ribbon cutting and celebrations all around.

Habitat Events

Habitat for Humanity of Evansville doesn’t just build houses; we are involved in the community 100%. Habitat hosts many fundraisers ranging from large galas to small get-togethers. Keep an eye out for the fun celebrations!

Habitat Dedicates Milestone 500th Home

On Thursday, December 20th, 2018, Habitat dedicated four new Habitat homes – #497 with Tiffany, #498 with MeShia and Steven, #499 with Leslie, and #500 with Tamisha. Out of the 1,200+ Habitat affiliates across the globe, only 25 have reached the milestone of 500 homes. Evansville is #26. This amazing accomplishment would not have been possible without our dedicated volunteers, our generous donors, and our determined homeowners. Welcome home!
