Establishing Financial Success
As part of the Habitat program, all future homeowners complete a 6-month money management course and work with an assigned Budget Partner. Budget Partners prepare families for homeownership by helping them build a budget, prepare to pay a monthly mortgage, and develop a savings. At Habitat, we want our families to be set up for a future of financial success and stability, and Budget Partners are instrumental in this effort.
Budget Partners should:
- Be willing and able to answer financial questions for future Habitat Homeowners and help position them to succeed in the Habitat program.
- Support future Habitat Homeowners in their budgeting and homework exercises.
- Meet with their assigned family once a month during the 6-month Money Management Seminar.
- Have a financial background with experience in the budgeting process.
- Submit a resume detailing their qualifications.
