Legacy Giving
Perigo-Prickett Society
Habitat for Humanity of Evansville is deeply grateful for the steadfast support of our dedicated donors who share our vision of providing a “hand-up, not a hand-out” to hardworking families striving for a better life for themselves and their children. These compassionate individuals understand the value of sweat equity invested by Habitat homeowners and recognize that Habitat is not a giveaway program; rather, it’s a pathway to homeownership where families purchase their homes, just like any other homeowner would.
Many of these loyal donors choose to make a planned gift to Habitat for Humanity of Evansville or contribute to Habitat’s endowment as a testament to their deep commitment to our mission. They seek to leave a lasting legacy, demonstrating that their lives have made a meaningful difference.
In recognition of these generous supporters, the Perigo-Prickett Society was founded in 2000. This society honors the extraordinary contributions of Jim Perigo and Jim Prickett, two remarkable individuals whose unwavering dedication helped lay the foundation for Habitat for Humanity’s enduring legacy in Evansville and beyond. Both pioneers played pivotal roles in the establishment of Habitat for Humanity of Evansville and made significant contributions to the founding of Habitat for Humanity International in Americus, Georgia, back in 1976.
