Youth United

Bringing High School Youth Together to Serve Their Community

Bringing High School Youth Together

Are you a high school student interested in serving your local community or earning some community service hours? Youth United is an exciting initiative through Habitat for Humanity that brings high school youth together to build homes in their communities!

Hands-On Experience

Through Youth United students can participate in numerous initiatives, such as the Red Bookcase project, to lend a helping hand to Habitat families. The bookcases are a special, personalized “welcome home” gifts for the children of Habitat homeowners and come with a few books to help jumpstart their reading library. The project gives students a hands-on experience as they paint and sand components, assemble the bookcases, select the books to go on the shelf, and present the finished products to the families in Habitat’s program!

Create An Account

To participate in Youth United, students will need to create a volunteer account, where they will be asked to complete a liability waiver. Students under the age 18 are required to have a parent or guardian’s signature on the liability waiver. You will be required to include an email address for your parent or guardian and they will receive an automated email with the liability waiver after you finish setting up your account.
